1- From Gibraltar to the Canary Islands.

In the month of October we can make this beautiful trip for approximately 5 days and 600 miles of navigation, which will provide us with great pleasures. This is a true Atlantic crossing because the whole course is navigated very far from the Moroccan coast, about 90 or 100 miles, in order to avoid its continental shelf and confusing sea.

It is a pleasant crossing with sometimes moderate winds and with stern or fin waves, which can sometimes be large, although without the slightest danger to this boat. Normally at this time we will not catch any weather. We will be very instructive to see the behavior of the sails and the boat with this type of sea, we can be placing different types of candles to perceive which is the best combination for the sea and wind of the moment. In addition to navigation practices, there are also those on the chart table. To have our position, to place them in the letters, to see the meteorology and warning to navigators, and to take if it be the case case modification decisions.

The arrival to the Canaries will be with great joy for the beauty of its islands and anchorages, and in some of these anchorages we will cast our anchor, to rest.

The clothing we must wear should not be a lot of shelter, because in October in the south of Spain is still not cold and as we approach the Canaries rage even increasing the temperature, a bathing suit will be good to wear. A water suit will not normally be required.

The food will be varied and to everyone's taste, being recommended to eat on several occasions but less quantity to facilitate digestion. The food we will have stocked in Spain before leaving, so that due to the duration of the crossing, we can enjoy fresh all the way.

No doubt it will be a pleasant and instructive day.

2- From Azores to Portugal

In the month of May this beautiful crossing of about 7 days of navigation and 800 miles is realized. This crossing is actually crossing part of the Atlantic, with its high sea and sometimes moderate wind, which we will usually have through. Usually we will not catch any storm.

The arrival to the Portuguese coast with its high and spectacular cliffs will not leave us immune. Doubling the important Cape of San Vicente will be almost the end point of this great voyage, because after doubling the cape the sea descends a lot and in a few miles we will enter some of the beautiful and deep bays of the Portuguese Algarve, where we will anchor in its Calm waters

The clothing we must wear is for cold weather, because at this latitude and dates, it is cold. Without being extreme cold. The food will be varied and to everyone's taste, being recommended to eat on several occasions but less quantity to facilitate digestion. The food we will have stocked in Spain before leaving, so that due to the duration of the crossing, we can enjoy fresh all the way.

No doubt it will be a pleasant and instructive days.
